Dumpsters
20-Yard or 33-Yard Dumpster? Compare Space and Access
Compare Simply’s two physical container sizes without confusing capacity with allowed weight.
In This Guide
A 33-yard container holds more volume than a 20-yard container, but more volume does not mean every material can be loaded to the top. Choose around the actual items, material, loading method, and placement. Photos are a better starting point than trying to convert your project into a precise number of cubic yards.
The dimensions side by side
| Capacity | Length | Width | Height |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 cubic yards | 16 feet | 8 feet | 4 feet |
| 33 cubic yards | 16 feet | 8 feet | 7 feet |
Both have approximately the same length and width; the larger container is taller. Truck access, unloading space, site conditions, and retrieval clearance still need separate confirmation.
Think about what takes up the room
Furniture and irregular bulky objects can leave gaps. Bagged contents, loose debris, and heavy materials create different loading and weight concerns. Tell us what is in the project rather than assuming one container suits every cleanout of a particular room count.
You may need only part of a container
Our space options include smaller capacity selections inside a larger physical container. Before service, we agree on the container, starting space, measurement method, and extra-space rate. Extra space remains subject to the delivered container’s capacity and material and weight limits.
Check both price and practical fit
The published space prices are $328.79 for 20 cubic yards and $542.50 for 33 cubic yards, before discounts. Those are not complete job totals: disposal fees are separate and weight-based, with other service charges confirmed in the quote. Use the current pricing page, and send photos of the contents and placement for a recommendation.
