Moving One Item? Ask About One Agreed Total

If the job is transporting one item, you may not need the same pricing approach as a whole move. Simply offers individual-item total quotes based on the item’s size, pickup and delivery locations, access, and handling. The hourly two-hour minimum is not automatically added to an individual-item quote.

Describe the item clearly

Include what it is, approximate dimensions, quantity, and photos. Mention anything unusual about its weight, condition, or handling. If the item is actually a set with several pieces, say so. A photo should show the full item rather than only the front of it.

The route matters at both ends

Provide complete pickup and destination addresses, stairs or elevators, parking, and carrying distance. A curbside pickup differs from collecting the same item inside a fourth-floor apartment. Explain who will provide access and any building time restrictions.

Keep the total tied to an agreed scope

Ask the written quote to identify the item, locations, handling, included services, and total price. Additional stops, extra pieces, or a different carrying route should be discussed before treating them as included. Choosing a total quote does not mean every later change becomes part of the original job.

Transport or removal?

If you want the item taken for disposal, start with hauling. If you are keeping it and sending it elsewhere, start with moving. For several items or a larger move, compare hourly labor and ask us which option fits the actual scope.
